Microphone only picking up loud noise

So yesterday i was having some problems with my wire that i put into the controller so it works so i changed it then my mic started only picking up loud noises like when i was shouting. I changed my wire back to the old one but the problem continued.

Can anyone help me?

Yes i use a adapter to the controller but it was working fine before. What do i do once i have connected it to a pc?

Try to connect the mic to a pc? But normally that is the mic going down. Do you use any adapter to the controller?

No i dont have the problem on any other microphone so now im using earphones until i get a new one. I think ive just broke the actaul microphone

I do think the problem is your microphone.

As proposed
Username1987, can you try your Microphone on other games or other apps directly on your computer to make sure that the problem comes from the Microphone?

Do you have the problem on another microphone?

If you don't, can you try it on another controller if you have a second one?
