    Microphone Not Working


    It says my microphone is plugged in but i cant speak through it, this all started a few weeks back and we have been trouble-shooting this problem for a while! I have tried to talk to the Xbox smart support and everything
    that it said to do did not work. Our last resort is to restart the Xbox completely. I don't want to do this yet so please help.

    i have my son set up on a family account where I’m the parent. When he uses headphones he can hear multiplayer games but not talk.

    The mic works as he can talk on Skype

    The family account is set to adult with the only restriction on purchases set to no

    What’s wrong the mic just doesn’t work in games ?

    Hey Keith thanks for bringing this issue to us!

    First things first we need a bit more information so we can best assist in the matter at hand, what device is this happening on? What does the NAT type look like? Let us know so we can get this mic back up and running!

    try to use the microphone with a mobile phone to verify what is the microphone, if it works it may be the control input that does not work
