Microphone not working on Xbox one

I play world of tanks with Xbox one cordless controller plugged into a headset. This week for no apparent reason the microphone on my headset Does not work. I have tried three different handsets, three different connecters,three different headsets. I have
tried everything and I’ve come to the conclusion it’s not my headset or my control, it’s not the connecters either. it must be something on the Xbox one Consol. I put it back to factory reset, I have re-booted it, I have done everything I can think of. Just
wondering if anybody has any other ideas short of using a hammer. other than the microphone on my Games or chat, my Xbox works perfectly fine. Thanks for your help.

Xbox One Microphone Issue

It is kind of difficult to explain (unless this is a common issue) but ill try my best. All yesterday my xbox one microphone was working but now today i turned on my xbox and was talking in a party through the kinect for about 20 mins. Then I went to plug
in my microphone and when I did the volume button and mute button were working but there was no sound coming through or out of the microphone, it was still going through the kinect. Which means I know the microphone is on but it's not actually working.

Microsoft Xbox One Chat Headset Microphone Stops Working

Hello,

This summer we have had 3 Microsoft Xbox One chat headset microphones stop working and 1 Microsoft Xbox One Stereo headset microphone stop working.

I have tried multiple Xbox One controllers and separate Xbox One console to verify the microphone no longer works.

Is there some known issue of how these headsets need to be plugged in or unplugged from the controller that could be zapping the microphone? Do we have to have the controller turned on or off before inserting the plug into the controller?

This just seems ridiculous that we keep loosing the microphone capability of these headsets.

Hello,

Not any Microphone will work with the XBOX 360 via USB. You need to have one that actually works with the XBOX 360 system and doesn't require any sort of drivers to be installed.

I have used the MadKatz Rockband 3 USB Microphone (It works with both the XBOX 360 and the PS3), I also have a Lips microphone which works as well. But as I said, not all wireless microphones will work so your better off getting one that's proven to work. Just
search online in some retailers to see if it works with Rock Band 3 on the XBOX 360.

Is the microphone for this headset in-line (on the actual headset cable)? I know for other headsets this means the microphone won't work for the Xbox One.

That generic support doesn't really apply here. The problem is with a PC microphone, not an Xbox One microphone. The Xbox App on PC detects the mic and it works if I start a party via the app, but it doesn't work in any capacity on the Xbox One for parties
or game chat.

Since the Blue Snowball is an USB microphone, it does NOT work with the Xbox One currently.

Only microphones that plug into the analogue 3.5mm jack of the controller will work. Also make sure, that when you want to use a standard 3.5mm jack microphone, that you will need an adapter that puts the microphone and ground contact at the correct position
with a CTIA adapter.

We just purchased a HyperX Cloud Stinger Core headset for our XBox One, and the microphone will NOT work in the game Fortnite. Has anyone else experienced this issue, and if so, what was the fix? It is only happening in Fortnite. The microphone
works fine when plugged into my phone or in XBox Party mode. The sound works in Fortnite, but not the microphone.
