Microphone not working on Xbox Game Bar

I'm starting to get very frustrated with this app. I have tried literally everything online to fix my mic on game bar and nothing has helped. I have the right mic selected and everything. I've even uninstalled the app and it didn't change a thing. There
is one thing I have seen, I'm not sure if it's what the issue is, but when I use Win + G, go to audio, and go to voice, nothing is popping up. I have to manually select my mic, but then there isn't a volume bar to change it. The second I join a party, the
mic I selected vanishes from the settings. My mic works fine with literally anything but Game Bar. I've spent 4 hours trying to fix it, but nothing has helped. I can provide screenshots, etc. Please someone help me.

Hey! Whenever I select the external microphone, it doesn't do anything and stays with the headset microphone.

Did you try muting the headset mic and making sure the external mic is unmuted?

If it still doesn't work, left click the volume button on the bottom left of your screen, near the time and date. Now click sound settings. Try changing the input and output there.

Whenever I mute my headset mic it doesn't work and I went to the sound settings and it was already set to the external mic.

Hey there! On the game bar, go to your settings > party chat > and select the input as the microphone you would like to use!

I have rebooted, reset, terminated, deleted my mic from the PC, uninstalled Game Bar, changed privacy settings, changed my mic settings, reset my mic's settings, reset the console companion, tried using the Xbox app, reset the xbox app, and nothing has
even changed the game bar in the slightest.
