Microphone not working in Party Chat

So today i was playing xbox with a couple of mates when all of a sudden i couldnt hear them. I checked and saw that my microphone wasnt working and they werent talking according to the party chat menu. But when i logged into my other account my microphone
works but on my main account it works but as soon as i join a party it stops working. Ive tried hard reboots and restarting routers and deleting cache

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Microphone not working for game chat. It does work in party chat. Resolution?

I've seen many people that have complaints with Microphones not being recognized/working for game chat. I discovered that I can communicate if I start a party chat, but not regular game chat or lobbies. IE. If i am in a Black Ops 2 lobby. The icon that
typically shows up next to a userid is not there. That would indicate I do not have a microphone. If I start a party I am able to chat. Is Xbox working on a fix to this?

That generic support doesn't really apply here. The problem is with a PC microphone, not an Xbox One microphone. The Xbox App on PC detects the mic and it works if I start a party via the app, but it doesn't work in any capacity on the Xbox One for parties
or game chat.

The microphone does not work in any games nor does it work in party chats. The headset is the standard headset that comes with an xbox purchase.

I am able to say "Hey cortana" and cortana opens and works properly. When I go to control panel and perform microphone setup, the microphone works perfectly.

But when I open XboxApp and start party chat, I still get the error "The sample rate for your microphone isn't supported"
Still after all troubleshooting steps done so far, every application that utilizes the microphone has no problem. The only application that has a problem is the XBOX APP when I connect to or start a Party chat.

Does the headset work on Xbox One Party chat (i.e. do you see a circle around your gamerpic in the party chat on Xbox One)?

Are only Backwards compatible games affected? If so, it might be that the Astro A50 base station acts as a USB microphone, which doesn't work as Chat microphone on the Xbox 360.

You might have to contact the Astro A50 support for information on how to use that headset on backwards compatible titles.

Yeah it works on the Xbox One party chat but yeah that's what i was thinking i might just have to get a old Xbox One chat headset for it to work.
