Microphone not working for game chat. It does work in party chat. Resolution?

I recently started experiencing this issue as well. I would love to know what in the world is going on with this.

The microphone does not work in any games nor does it work in party chats. The headset is the standard headset that comes with an xbox purchase.

Got issues with chat mixer. I use Kinect for microphone. Since the update chat mixer does not work .and volume of games drowns out party volume.may be related to your issue

Yes, everything you said was correct except for the last bullet. My microphone does not work in game chat or party chat. My kinect only works for game chat in certain games and in party chat. I have purchased another console to test if it followed my account
and my microphone did not work on that console as well. I have tried multiple networks, all with open nat types, but none of them work. I have also used different accounts to test and the microphone does not work as well. I honestly have no clue what could
be the problem at this point. I have tried every troubleshooting attempt given to me with no success. I would appreciate if you helped me with this, and I thank you for looking into my case.

Does the headset work on Xbox One Party chat (i.e. do you see a circle around your gamerpic in the party chat on Xbox One)?

Are only Backwards compatible games affected? If so, it might be that the Astro A50 base station acts as a USB microphone, which doesn't work as Chat microphone on the Xbox 360.

You might have to contact the Astro A50 support for information on how to use that headset on backwards compatible titles.

Yeah it works on the Xbox One party chat but yeah that's what i was thinking i might just have to get a old Xbox One chat headset for it to work.
