  1. Microphone not working and Controller is not being recognized as plugged in via USB

I'm not sure if these two issues are related, but here goes:

My microphone has stopped working for chat. I can still hear the max volume up tone through the ear piece, and the mute button can still light up, but my friends cannot hear me and I can only hear them over the Kinect. Note: I'm using the standard headset
that came with the Day One Edition.

I have also tried on numerous occasions to update my controller firmware but each time i plug it into the Xbox, the system tells me that there is no controller attached via USB. The controller (without batteries) does actually work while plugged into the
USB port (i.e. i can control what is happening on the screen) but even when I have it hooked up like that, the Xbox says that there is no controller connected via USB so it cannot update the firmware.

Anyone else had the same issue? Or better yet, have a solution?

    :)

Bug: Microphone doesn't work after disconnecting Windows 10 streaming

Update: Regarding issue #2 (Headaet adapter issues while connecting Xbox One controller to Windows 10 PC for streaming)

    I discovered that:

    1) The headset adapter is just treated like an additional headphone and microphone under the Windows audio settings.

    2) To select which microphone to use (e.g. PC mic or microphone attached to Headset Adapter), set the desired microphone as your default device by right clicking volume/speaker icon at the bottom right of the taskbar and click "Recording devices."

    3) Odd behavior or malfunctions (e.g. headet microphone not working when streaming to Wkndows 10) may occur when there are too many USB plugged into the computer, causing insufficient USB controller resources.

When I plugged the Xbox One controller directly into my Surface Pro 2, the microphone automatically worked fine. When I docked my Surface Pro 2 into its docking station and plugged the Xbox One controller into the docking station's USB port, my headset adapter/Stereo
Headset's microphone was recognized, but the decibel meter would not detect any sound when spoken into. Occasionally, I would receive a "insufficient USB controller resources" error. This could also be an issue related to connecting the Xbox One controller
    to a USB hub.

Regarding issue #1 (headset adapter/stereo headset's microphone not working on Xbox One after disconnecting from streaming), I will see if I experience it again to isolate the issue.

    Xbox headset mic won't work

My Xbox One's included chat headset and microphone recently stopped working. When in Party or Game Chat, I can hear others but no sound is being broadcast from my microphone, so I was forced to switch to using my Kinect as mic. I purchased a replacement
headset and the same problem persists. I have attempted every troubleshooting step with the exception of attempting to plug in and update my wireless controller via a USB cable, because for some reason when I plug in the controller with a USB and attempt to
check on a software update the Xbox tells me there is no controller connected with a USB. Regardless, the console reads my controller as "No Update Required" when connected wirelessly, and the controller works flawlessly, so I'm guessing that a software update
is not the problem. Not sure if this is necessary info, but the firmware for my headset seems to be version 4.9.0.0. So, in brief:

    1. The microphone on my Xbox One's included Chat Headset is not working, though I can hear others fine thru the headset. I purchased a replacement and encountered the same problem.

    2. The Xbox won't recognize my Wireless controller when plugged in via USB, only when connected wirelessly.

Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have the same issue when the controller is plugged in via USB? Sometimes the controllers/microphones require more power such as being directly plugged in.

I Can not Connect My Xbox One controll to My pC

    Hello!

Does your PC recognize other USB devices connected to it? Does your controller turn on ok without being plugged in via USB?

Bug: Microphone doesn't work after disconnecting Windows 10 streaming

Okay, I just discovered an issue:

The Xbox Stereo Headset's microphone does NOT work when connected via a USB hub, even if it's the only device attached to the USB hub. The microphone is detected, but it does not detect any sound in the volume meter.

As soon as I plug my Xbox One controller directly into the Surface Pro 2, the microphone immediately detects sound.

Can't revert firmware on Xbox Wireless Controller 1914, firmware version 5.13.3143.0. Loss of PC bluetooth functionality

The controller is recognized when plugged in via a usb cable and works as intended. Uninstalling the driver when plugged in and restarting doesn't change that behaviour, the controller is still recognized when plugged in and works.

Connecting to bluetooth remains the same issue though. Either it doesn't show up in the bluetooth devices search, or when it does, it fails to connect (prompting to "try again" every time)
