Microphone monitoring, headset Audio option

That is right, both gaming headsets use the controller wide port while music headphones use the round 3.5 mm jack port. I only have this controller. All headsets work fine but I can't see that option unless I use the music headphones (which don't have
microphone). It used to be there with my gaming headset connected a week ago but not now. I want that option for the microphone monitoring and level because you can not control that on the headsets.

When i go to volume from the devices and accessories the volume is blocked out. It doesnt let me press it. Im trying to find a way to turn the mic monitoring because i cant hear myself and i start speaking really loud.

That's an interesting issue being experienced since it's not working with either headset. Both of those headsets come with headset adapters to plug into the port at the bottom and not the 3.5 mm port, is that correct?

If so then the issue may lie within the controller software. Do you have another controller to test?

trying to resolve this situation with the headsets not working with the controller. It could be that the headsets are not compatible with the controller or that they need an update since you were able to determine the controller works.

System -> Settings -> Kinect & Devices -> Devices & Accessories -> …, there is
Connected Headset
and
Volume.
Was the option for Volume greyed out or unavailable to click on? Is the audio is properly configured on the console? (Mainly chat mixer, volume, toggle
mic on/off, audio format…..)

Thank you for reaching out. Does this happen with different controllers or have you only tested the one? If this started seemingly after a console update, try performing a

factory reset while keeping your games and apps.

1. Press the Xbox button
   to open the guide.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select All Settings.
4. Select System.
5. Select Console info & updates.
6. Select Reset console.
