Microphone issue

Quick run down of information, none of my microphones are working on xbox. When talking with 24/7 xbox support we tried 2 different controllers and 2 different headsets. A full reset of the xbox and some minor tinkering but to no avail.

In the end he was unable to help and left me with this. "Yesterday an update was released for the insider program which was supposed to fix the issue. Personally, I would wait until the update rolls out for everyone and see if that fixes the problem."

So im wondering does this affect anyone else, have you gotten past this or do you happen to know when the mentioned update would be released.

Controller / Microphone issue.

My controller / microphone are not working on the Xbox One. If I am using the controller with batteries, or with the charge pack (plugged in charging or not) I am able to use the controller fine, but whenever I am in a party everyone can hear me but I cannot
hear anyone through the headset. If I put the cable into the controller and use it like a wired controller, I am able to properly communicate with everyone but only sporadically as the controller repeatedly connects and disconnects completely, meaning I can
neither communicate with my party of even use the console consistently. If I use the controller wirelessly (or wired but into the charge pack) I can hear my party if I disconnect my microphone from the controller completely, but of course I cannot actually
talk to my party this way.

I have tried replacing the cable and this is not the issue. I have tried everything on the support page for the controller disconnecting / connecting repeatedly except for testing out a new controller as I cannot really afford one right now, and honestly
I don't think I should be expected to purchase a completely new controller just to troubleshoot this one. I have been using the controller / console / microphone fine for months and these issues just started up.

Hi there Ruzhyo2000,

There are many reporting issues with wireless controller issues as well as chat issues. I'm am also having negative experiences to date with what you describe on three different controllers. I cannot offer a fix but I have found that playing wired seems
to be the best option until this is fixed.

I took my batteries out as it sometimes causes the controller to try and connect wireless and would not re-sync. Sorry....but I contacted support and other than replacing your controllers, there was not a suggestion offered that resolved my issue. Make
sure you trouble shoot and try a hard reset as well if you have not done so.

I cannot confirm if replacing the controller will work for you, but it did not work for me.

Sorry to hear you're having trouble. As you seem to be in the Insiders program I would recommend you hold the Guide button on the controller till you see the option Report a Problem to report it directly to the devs. You should also head over to Xbox Insiders
and see if others are experiencing the same issue

I would like to note, if this is just a broken controller with no fix, I have a second controller I can use for a little while, but its left bumper is broken so I don't want to use it unless I need to.

Hello Joseph, in cases like this can be system-related cosias, hardware, or even your sound card firmware.

Try first to check if you have the latest version of Windows installed, at 22H2.

See which version of Windows 10 you have

Updates are often seen as optional.

Also, make sure all Xbox Apps are up to date in the store, and make sure you have the Xbox Companion App installed, it works with the Xbox App

After this, try checking your video card drivers if they are installed correctly or require some kind of update.

It sounds like you are currently having problems with microphone. Sorry for the inconvenience.

As for your problem, you can try the following solutions to see if they can solve your problem:

1. Right-click on the speaker in the taskbar > right-click on the microphone > Properties > Remove the check "Listen to this device"

2. Update sound card driver to the latest (Right click on Start > Device Manager > Right-click on the drivers to update)

Or go to the manufacturer's official website to update and re-download the driver.

maybe you should contact with service. Probably problem with your first controller
