    Hi, I have a brand now Xbox white with a 3.5mm jack cintroller. The mic and head set worked now I have a line throght the mic next to the battery icon no sound through hea`d set (tv sound works). Also does not work games sound. Checked head set on another
    Xbox one all good?

    What type of headset is this? Would this happen to be a stereo headset? If so please attempt to follow our
    set up and troubleshoot your Xbox One Stereo Headset support article for direct assistance when working with
    these types of headsets.

    Hey NeilHopson,

    I know I had an issue similar to this, I ended up having to by a Headset Stereo Adaptor that plugs into the bottom of the controller and it solved my issue.

    Hard reset, then update your controllers. Also check to see if the headset needs an update as well.

    would this still be the correct fix even if the muted microphone icon is showing no matter if there is a headset plugged into the controller or not? This icon stays on the screen when I plug any headset into the controller and when no headset at all is plugged
