    Microphone help

Ok, i share a headset between my pc and my xbox and it uses a custom app to edit the properties in my xbox. Whenever i’m in a party with my friends it’s really sensitive and earrape so i have to position it as far away as possible. This isn’t to bad, i’ve gotten use to it. But now it’s so horrific that so much as sniffing causes a horrible earrape (enough to make all my mates leave the party) someone help please.

    :)

Why isn't moc connecting on Xbox 360

Hello, I'm Felipe and I'm an independent Community Advisor, and I'll do my best to help you.

There could be several reasons why your microphone is not connecting on Xbox 360. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue:

Check the physical connection: Make sure that your microphone is properly plugged into the controller or console. Check that the jack is fully inserted and the microphone is securely connected.

Check the microphone settings: Ensure that the microphone is turned on and the volume is set to an appropriate level. Go to the Xbox 360 dashboard, select "Settings," and then "Preferences." From there, select "Voice." You can adjust the settings for the microphone, including the volume and sensitivity.

Test the microphone: Use the "Test Microphone" feature to see if your microphone is working. Go to the Xbox 360 dashboard, select "Settings," and then "Preferences." From there, select "Voice" and then "Test Microphone." Speak into the microphone and look for the sound meter to move.

Try a different microphone: If the above steps do not work, try using a different microphone. Sometimes microphones can become damaged or faulty over time, and using a new one can help isolate the issue.

If none of the above steps work, you may need to contact Xbox support for further assistance.

Is there a way to completely mute background noise from my mic? Noise suppression doesnt work.

Hi Chezniv, my name is Jhon, and will be a pleasure help you

Unfortunately, there is no guaranteed way to completely silence background noise from your microphone. Noise suppression is a useful feature, but it's not perfect. In some cases, it may not be effective enough to remove all background noise.

And each suppression function depends on the quality of your microphone.

Here are some tips you can try to reduce background noise:

*Place your microphone as close to your mouth as possible. This will help reduce the amount of ambient noise that the microphone picks up.

*Try using an omnidirectional microphone instead of a unidirectional microphone. Omnidirectional microphones pick up sound from all directions, which can help reduce background noise.

*Use a noise filter in your recording software. Some audio recording programs, such as Audacity, offer noise filters that can help eliminate background noise.

If these tips don't work, you can try using an external microphone. External microphones usually have better audio quality than microphones built into headphones. They also tend to have more advanced noise suppression features. Although as I said before it depends on the quality of your microphone since the operation is not perfect.

    Best regards
    Jhon

Mic appears to be stuck on mute.

Hi, in party there is a setting to mute your microphone, if that is pressed it mutes your microphone without turning the light on the headset on.

Check in your party settings to see if your microphone is muted. If this works for you or if you need more help, post a reply! :)
