Microphone headset multiple problems.

I have been looking for a solution to this online for about a week, over 100 websites I can't find any solution. Any unorthodox or new advice would help. Tried 3 different controllers and 3 different mics. One of the mics is a turtle beach and plug into
xbox not the controller.

I've also tried using multiple headsets and it has the same problem... If only one headset is plugged into a controller... the mic and chat works fine (~90% of the time). If both are plugged in, I can't rarely hear people and neither of the microphones will
work. If I unplug one mic, it's 50/50 whether the other will start working...

Check to see if the microphone on the headset is muted. Some headsets have a mute button on the headset itself or on the cable.

To check if the microphone on your headset is muted, follow these steps:

Open the "Settings" application.
Select "Sound & Display".
Select "Audio".
Select "Microphone".
Check the "Microphone Mute" button. If the button is on, the microphone is muted.

Check your console's audio settings. Make sure that the headset microphone is selected as the audio input device.

Select "Audio".
Select "Input Devices".
Make sure that the headset microphone is selected as the input device.

You can also test the headset on another version of the console. If the microphone works on another version of the console, then the problem is related to your console version. In this case, it is possible that your console is not compatible with your headset.

To everyone that apply: the iPhone has 3 microphones built into the device. The xbox app does not know this so it will constantly switch between the multiple mics. Furthermore, the speaker used on the iPhone is currently near one of those microphones.
By default apple automatically will turn off or on the speaker/mic to minimize feedback throughout the process. If you have a bluetooth headset with a microphone built in (for example AirPods or Beats studio’s) the app will no longer get confused on which
microphone to use because now it knows just to use your headsets microphone only.

I had a similar problem with the microphone that came with my xbox one. I would rarely get my microphone to work. I bought a new headset and this fixed the problem. If your using the original headset there is a chance it has gone bad. If you can borrow
a headset from someone and try it that might help troubleshoot your problem.
