Microphone echoes.

I have been having a problem with my headset and headset adapter for about a month now.

When I join a party or game, the people can hear everything, me, my game audio and their own voice which is irritating. This doesn't happen on 360 when I use it so I'm thinking it's the adapter as I've tried with a couple of controllers and it's the same.

Is there anybody that experiences this or can help me fix it because it is really annoying me now since nobody wants to play because of the echo. I use a Turtle Beach x12 headset if that is any use.

No Headset Packaged With The Xbox One?

It'll have the built in Kinect Microphone. You know, the one that currently engages in endless echoes.

Party chat and game chat, friend's mic wont echo, but mine always does

So ever since i got a xbox one a few months ago, in party chat and game chat my mic always echos, but everyone else in the party does not have their mic echo. I am not sure if this is an issue with my microphone or console.

I'm using X12's as well. Sounds like I'm having the exact same issue.

Would love a fix for this issue as I'm not loving playing games in a party by myself because of the annoying echo I'm giving off

Hello, having an echo is often due to misuse. The microphone is very sensitive and I noticed that on several headphones the fact that the microphone thread touching the limits of the headphones it caused an echo.

Someone said the Kinect version has the microphone built into the unit next to the speaker??????

Next thing to try is to calibrate the Kinect if you are using one, try that out as that may be causing the echo. The link below will guide you through:
