    Microphone doesn’t work online


    My microphone doesnt work in online games. I cant talk to people online and its not the headset because i can hear audio and i can send audio messages. Ive tried resetting my xbox which didnt work and went through all the settings and they are good. Someone
    please help

    In order to assist you properly tell me:
    Are you on windows 10 or 11?
    The microphone doesn’t work across all the system? Or are you trying to use party chat with the game bar and only there is where the microphone doesn’t work?
    Also, did you tried using a different headset to see if the issue persists?

    Xbox one mic permanently on mute - this seems to be a known issue any fix yet?

    If you have an Xbox headset, there is a microphone and volume button on the wire. You could have this switched off. You want to put the slider thing to the microphone symbol with no line through.
