    Microphone and camera compatible with Xbox One S


    My son has an Xbox One S. He wants to buy a separate microphone and a separate camera that are compatible with Xbox One S. Can anyone give us recommendations?
    We have tried looking ourselves but have read about many such accessories not being compatible with his console. Thanks so much!

    I think it depends on the camera you're using, the problem could probably be that it is not compatible with xbox live parties, but you should look into your console settings to check if there is a way you can choose between different microphones

    If you have a Kinect Camera/Microphone plugged in and you remove your normal microphone, the microphone image will still stay there.

    As for your microphone, have you tried a different one?

    That microphone feature is apart of the Kinect. Like a movie camera, or even your cell phone/tablet or lap top.... they all have a camera and microphone built in. Why produce something half finished? It makes sense to supply a camera with a mic.

    I'd rather get spied on by the device aka Xbox One without a camera, microphone, and heartbeat monitor aka the Kinect. Just sayin.
