Microphone always on mute

• Creating my own post as directed in another thread. I have gone through all solutions offered by twitter and phone support. Nothing works. I bought a stereo adapter too but it did not help. I have reset everything, ensured NAT and router ports are
  open and my controller is updated and assigned to me. Phone support told me I was a preview Update subscriber, but that is incorrect and I don't know why they thought that.
  

Additional info is that Kinect chat is also muted. It's as if the console itself is now muted and refusing to unmute. I do see a mic icon in both fire team and party chat, but no one can hear me in either mode. There is clearly a bug somewhere if I am not
the only one experiencing this. The only thing that has been added to my machine in the past two weeks is the free Theif game, although it is pissible Destiny had an update as well. GT . Let's get this resolved. Thanks.

Mic appears to be stuck on mute.

Hi, in party there is a setting to mute your microphone, if that is pressed it mutes your microphone without turning the light on the headset on.

Check in your party settings to see if your microphone is muted. If this works for you or if you need more help, post a reply!

What have you tried in order to resolve the issue?

Enforcement says I have a perfect record. I have made sure my controller is updated and assigned to me, purchased a stereo adpater and a new controller, hard booted the console, reset the router, run all of the xbone's network diagnostics, and tried to use
Kinect chat instead.

 

Bumping this. Any updates or other ideas? Something?

 

Anything? Is anyone looking at this issue? I'm not the only one having it.

 

Check the side window at the home screen. There are a few settings for the Headset Mic and Mic Monitoring right there. Also what Headset are you using with the Stereo Adapter?
