Microphone acting up

Alright so for some reason I can't talk in game nor in party chat and I don't know why, but my microphone seems to work because when I start my own party and talk into my microphone that little red light goes off showing that the audio has been transmitted
but when I have a friend that joins my party an X automatically appears over them showing that they are muted, but when I join a friends party the X appears over my name now . I've went through all the audio and privacy settings and everything is normal for
me to be able to talk online and like I said my microphone does seem to work when I'm in my own party except when friends join and that just defeats the whole purpose. And talking in-game simply doesn't work at all . By the way the microphone I use is the
normal XB1 mic adaptor my console came with.

XBOX ACTING UP

so i got a xbox 360 slim last year and ever since i played a game called Counterstrike GO my xbox is taking along time to load stuff and when i try to play game it will ether say something is wrong with the disk or I have to reintall it or something. and
when I play GTA V rendering sucks and every things lags and takes long time to load things and it crashes sometimes and starts the process all over again. if some one could tell me whats wrong with my xbox tht would be gret thnks.

Dude The same this is happening to me i was on the support chat for 2 hours and they couldnt fix my problem have you found a solution

 

It sounds like your NAT is moderate or strict.

Basically this means your network configuration limits your chat and gaming/hosting abilities.
