Micro USB Plugins - Awful Quality

Why are the micro usb plugins on xbox one controllers so poor quality? I've had like 6 break, all within the span of a few days. All the other cords I've tried plugging in dont snap in and dont keep the controller charged. I have an xbox one elite controller. The
cord that came with that stopped working after not even a week. Please XBOX, make wired versions of your controllers because these wireless ones have the worst USB plugins I've ever seen.

No it's impossible. You need a plugin USB microphone.

You can search for "xbox one wired controller" and see what options are out there. The Xbox one was designed to work with up to 8 wireless controllers so wired controllers were probably not too much of a concern

 

I suppose you could call this a "workaround", but I've been fond of these
magnetic USB connectors for quite a while now. You get a small USB dongle to keep in your port, and a cord that magnetically attaches itself to the dongle so you can sync data and power. Since the dongle stays connected the entire time, you don't have to
worry about wearing out the cable or the port itself. While I don't use them on my Xbox controller in particular, I do use these cables for my iPhone, portable batteries, Nintendo Switch Pro controller. It's perfect for any device where you find yourself frequently
plugging and unplugging.

You can also consider getting rechargeable AA batteries by Duracell or Energizer. You charge the batteries with a wall charger, usually included. When you especially get the high capacity batteries like 2500mAh, your controller is going to last a good long
time. Once you get a rotation going with at least 4 batteries (2 in use, 2 charging), you pretty much never have to worry about dead batteries anymore.
