Hi I can't get headset to work for a xbox one s controller, do I need a headset adaptor for this?

Hi there,

The controller would have 3.5mm jack input.

So it would be fine.

The 3.5mm jack should work fine, but if you are still having trouble after going through the recommended troubleshooting guides, an adapter is an option.

Ordinarily, standard headsets/earphones work fine in the 3.5mm jack as Josh quite rightly said.

It's worth noting though that it doesn't work for the microphone part usually unless it's specifically made for the xbox or with the adaptor.
