Micorosft Flight Simulator - Xbox Live

I know that you need Xbox Live GOLD for microsoft flight sim 2020 multiplayer but will we need GOLD just to play a free flight on our own or for the actual game to work on Xbox will we need GOLD?

HIya!!

Because of the complexity of the new Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and the advanced graphics, it was rumored that you will most likely need a Live account to be able to play the simulator because the console or the pc's graphics card will not be powerful
enough to display the programs as it was intended. Now there may be some aspects that you might be able to access offline but the bulk of the program will require you to log into your Live account so the servers can handle to intense graphics aspect so you
can get the best experience. Again, this is rumor as the full details have not be released. This information is based on those that have been party of actually being invited to trying the program first hand.

If the game is not completely online, then you should be able to play some parts of the game without needing gold.

That is a great question, the game itself connects to the internet to download data of the ground, clouds, etc... BUT you should be able to play it alone WITHOUT a Gold subscription.

If you’re inserting it, that tells me you bought the Windows disc version and live in Europe, or that you bought a copy of Flight Simulator X which is PC only. There is no Xbox disc release at this time.

No disc version of Flight Simulator will work on any Xbox

Flight Simulator 2020 only works on Series consoles, One consoles are not compatible
