    Micecraft cross platform child account not working


    I've had this problem a lot and I can't fix it.

    I'm trying to play minecraft via LAN from PC (me) to xbox one (child 1).

    He won't show up in minecraft as online as a friend but my xbox overscreen on the PC is showing he is in minecraft and online.

    I can manually invite him to a game but when he try's to access the world it says his account won't let him.

    Now I've checked the world edit screen in minecraft and yes it's open to LAN.

    I've changed his xbox privacy settings to allow multiplayer outside of xbox, allowed multiplayer in general, allowed join clubs and allow friends. Multiple times

    I can't see him is an online friend in minecraft and he can't see me when we are both online either.

    Nothing works doesn't matter how many times i try it it won't allow him to play over LAN. I've checked the router and it's NAT is open, and tested it on the xbox also open. Everyone is connected (hardwired) to the router.

    I'm at my witts end I cannot think or find anything that can help.

    Anyone got any ideas?

    He doesn't have xbox live gold but that shouldn't effect LAN surely?

    I'm glad to see this is potentially just a bug.

    Sucks that it's low on the priority list though. Seeing as it makes sense to not need live gold just for LAN. It's LAN that's the point you don't need to be online for it.

    You would have to connect to Xbox Live to play together. So the answer is yes, All local LAN Xbox's need Xbox gold to play together.

    You would have to connect to Xbox Live to play together. So the answer is yes, All local LAN Xbox's need Xbox gold to play together.
    I'm not sure this correct... All LAN hosted worlds should not require Xbox Live to play. It's only over the Xbox network that this is required.

    Just make sure your PC network is set to PRIVATE and not PUBLIC, but there is an open support case for this exact problem with the Xbox One version:
