Mic won't work

    I've had my xbox for a few months and my mic on my headset won't work...I can hear my friends through headset but they can't hear me...

    Mic won't work

    I can't do any kind Audio Input

    Not on me Xbox one or me friends xbox and me friends can't do it on me Xbox.

    Please help missing party chat like **** even try other controllers and headsets nothing I can hear but can't do any kind of Audio Input

    Mic won't work

    I am having the same problem. I've tried both a Skull Candy headset connected with XBox brand adapter AND a Turtle Beach Headset with Turtle Beach adapter. I can OCCASIONALLY get the mic to function, but after I turn the XBox off and on again, it often
    doesn't work. I can hear myself in the mic, BUT the mic icon next to my name in XBox Live pre-game lobby screen won't indicate that it is picking up any volume.

    I have the same problem. I have tried 3 controllers and 2 different mics (default and Turtle Beach plugged into newer Microsoft headset adapter) with no better results. It will work at times making me think I fixed it but then when I really need it I get
    problems.

    Mic won't work

    On Xbox party my microphone won't work but I'm able to hear the game sound and my friends talk. I have had this problem for a while now and I have tried(I think) every way to fix this. This can't be my controller or headset because I used the xbox
    app on my phone without the headset but it won't detect any voice out of it either. This is clearly some software issue thing and I need help to fix it.

    Thank you for posting on the Xbox Forums am truly sorry what you are experiencing, I would recommend you buying a Headset adapter because I previously had the same problem but now since I got headset adapter everything works fine.

    Thanks for reaching out to us today. I would like to ask if you get any sort of error on your end at all? Also, have you still tried different devices (controller and headset) to make sure it's not an accessory issue? We do have a few troubleshooting options
    available such as our article
    "Xbox One Chat headset troubleshooting"    .

    If you haven't already done so go ahead and go through those steps. Also, let us know what you've tried already so we know what you've done so far as a process.

    try this if not help Let's try to power cycle your console. Please hold down the power button on the front of the console for approximately 15 seconds until the power light shuts off. Wait about 60 seconds, then power it back on. Be sure you see the green
    "XBOX ONE" animation loading screen when you power it back up.
