Mic won’t register my voice on parties

Hey ya’ll. So, this will mostly be a copy-paste of what I was going to post as “feedback”, before I backed out and decided the forum would be better.

Everything was working perfectly fine in parties with friends, but one day, my mic randomly just “stopped working”. I can hear everything in the game and in the party perfectly fine, but no one can hear me. I tried switching to my other controller, or updating
my controller, but it didn’t work. I checked to see if I was muted, but I definitely wasn’t muted. I tried disconnecting and reconnecting my headset multiple times, and well testing with and without my headset adapter, but it still didn’t work. I even tried
resetting my Xbox, but still nothing. I don’t think it’s likely to be controller fault, as neither of them worked. I also know my headset definitely still works, since I can use it anywhere else, even on an Xbox app on another device. Plus, it’s the official
Xbox headset, so it should be perfectly compatible. The day after, I woke up hoping that it was just a fluke, but the problem persisted when I was testing on my own. This time, I did a full power cycle, checked all of my privacy settings, adjusted my mic settings
further, double checked my controller updates, swapped my controller again, disconnected and reconnected my headset and adapter numerous times, increased my mic monitoring, confirmed that I was using the latest update, and it STILL isn’t working at all. Plus,
a weird that happened while my mic wasn’t working was that whenever there was a spike in audio (as in someone speaking loudly or something), it would cause a brief echo effect to come from my mic (Even though my headset never echoed before this happened and
still doesn’t do anything abnormal on other devices) and during this echo period, my voice would actually get picked up very briefly, as my friend could hear me saying “What?” for a split moment. Again though, it’s only in a very brief window of time whenever
there’s an audio spike. I’ve tried everything I could think of to fix this, yet nothing has changed. It was working perfectly fine a few days prior, so I have no idea what could have gone wrong.

I’m running out of ideas on what to try. I saw lots of other people with similar problems and no solutions when I was browsing the web earlier, so I’m worried on whether or not it even can be solved at this rate.
