  1. Mic settings(were did they go)

Hey, so I was playing Xbox one with my friends when my mic broke and all I had left where some apple headphones. When I tried to put them to work they gave off a static sound so I researched how to fix it. When I found out how to fix it I noticed that in
the new xbox one console update the mic settings where not were they originally where meant to be. You wound find them if you pressed the home button twice and went to the settings section where you would see some settings to adjust things for your mic. But
now it isn't there. My question is where did it go?

    :)

Are there other tags on your console? Check those to make sure that you didn't add the points to any of those gamertags. If so, you will have to call support to see if they can remove them and send you a code to re add them to your main account.

  4. Mic settings(were did they go)

    Hello GoluckyMonkey97,

OK, this is what I have discovered. Just using the 3.5-mm headphone jack, I plugged my "Xbox One Stereo Headset" directly into the controller without the
"Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter" . And just like before, the headset and mic settings are automatically placed right off the new
Home menu down at Settings, located between
    All settings
and Turn off console. If this is not happen for you, I can only assume that your controller is not recognizing your "apple headphones" as an Xbox One compatible headset. For more information and additional troubleshooting
steps, see "Xbox One Chat Headset troubleshooting" .

  5. Hi SoAnnoying I understand what you are saying about the headset but I have to say two things to clarify my problem:

    1. I use an adapter with not headset attached.

    2. On the top right corner of my screen where the charge of your controller battery is shown it also shows if you have a headset or not and when I plug in my "Apple headphones" it shows they are a headset.

So if you can tell me why the setting will not reveal then that would be great but if you do not understand or do not have an answer that is fine as I can continue without them. (I did this so I do not have to pay for a new headset, but I will if I have
    to.)

  6. GoluckyMonkey97,

    1) So, you are using a "Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter" with your controller, correct...?

    2) And, when you plug your Apple headphones into the adapter/controller, the
    not mic
indicator in the upper right hand corner on the main menu changes to a
headset icon, and you do not get the headset and mic controls in the Settings menu between All settings and Turn off console?

Yes.... That's the way it's suppose to work. I had assumed that you were not using the stereo headset adapter, and that you were plugging your headphones directly into the controller's 3.5-mm jack. But, when the adapter is attached to the controller and
a compatible headset is plugged into the adapter, the Xbox will make the hardware buttons on the adapter as the priority for controlling over all Volume, game/chat Balance and Mute. Therefore, the headset and mic controls will not show up in the Settings menu.

I regret if this is still not working for you and your Apple headphones. But, if you do need to get a new headset, from my personal experience I think the "Xbox
    One Stereo Headset
" are the best buy for the money.
