    Mic Sensitivity


    Having trouble with my mic on brand new pdp lvl40 headset. When I plug it in to my PC to test it, it works perfectly. However, when I test it on xbox, the xbox doesn't pick up my voice at all. The only time xbox will pick anything up is when I blow
    into the mic really hard. How do I fix this? My friends cannot hear me on chat bc of this. I read somewhere that the xbox console will make it to where this is the first thing to go if your batteries in your controller are getting weak. I have fresh batteries
    in my controller, but they are an off brand. Would this make a difference? Any ideas are welcome!

    is it your mic that is too loud or is it other people you are in a party with?

    to adjust the sensitivity of the mic, press the Xbox button on the controller then press RB 3 times to get to the System tab and select Audio from the options there.

    this will allow you to turn down mic monitoring so your mic is less sensitive.

    if it is other people in your party who have their mics too sensitive then they will have to adjust the mic monitoring on their Xbox

    Some headsets are equipped with a monitoring sensor. I use the RIG 800 which has this feature. Have you tried adjusting your chat mixer and then turning down the volume on you headset? If you earpieces arent actually noise cancelling the sound will bleed
    over.

    I'm glad i'm not the only one with this opinion. I have a fairly expensive headset and use the Elite v2 controller. After numerous attempts of trying to fix my mic, i can't get a setting that works. Some people either echo from my mic, or my game sound
    echos so much and is picked up with my mic. I simply just mute myself between speaking now, which is inconvenient.
