mic problems

I have the default xbox one mic. I went to somewhere and set my mic and controller on my desk and when I came back 5 min. later and my friends couldn't hear me but I can hear them in party chat? help!

Mic problems

Yesterday my mic stopped working on my Xbox One S controller, The problem is I can hear people through the headset but they can not hear me. I ran a test in a party and usually when you speak the blue circle gets larger this isn't
the case for me, But when I tried the headset in a party using the phone app it worked fine and people could hear me. Does anyone have a solution to this or could my controller be broken if so could I claim warranty as I recently bought it last December for
Christmas?

SAME!! I was playing Destiny with my friend, but I didn't even leave! He started saying: Hey? You there? Hi? Yoo? ... I suddently couldn't talk to him anymore!! I tried hard reseting my xbox, I tried reconnecting the mic, nothing. Another
[Mod Removed] of Xbox. I'm counting everything that happened to me since my Day One controller wasn't working on day one, I'm at 17 major issue. This might be the 18th!!

 

An identical thing happened to me yesterday, mid way through a game the other people in the party could no longer hear me. I've found that muting and then unmuting the mic makes it works for a few seconds. I can still hear everyone so it seams that it is
only my audio that is at fault.

Advice for how to resolve this would be nice or even knowing how many other people have had this issue.

 

They'll never answer! I've started forums and tried all the troubleshooting tips and still no result. I've had the same issue for about 2 months now. My mic would work every so often then died slowly and it's been that way since. Everything works but I can't
be heard and my chat icon stays on even when the headset or Kinect is not connected. Makes me believe it's deeper than the headset or controller or settings. I was hoping the October update would patch it but it didnt. Just wish they quit ignoring this.
