Mic Privacy Problems

So my mic works, I can hear through it, but I can't speak through it. It says that "Your privacy settings prevent chat with some people" when I am in a party, and in game-chat it doesn't pick up any voice. I have gone through all of my settings and I know
that none of them are blocking my mic. Can anyone help?

You have to go to your settings then explore until you find privacy settings, It's probably set to children privacy level. You can set it to adult or customize so that communicating though headset is enabled.

As long as your account is not a child account I would set all your privacy settings to default and then try again.

Hey Ryan,

Thank you for posting here on the Xbox forums. Since you have already double checked all of your privacy settings, you may have to re-sync your profile with Xbox live. The easiest way to do so is by removing your account from the Xbox, and then redownloading

Hello Ryan, I am Gage. Ill be happy to assist you. Have you checked your NAT Type? I remember this particular problem with my friend. You can also attempt unplugging your console from the wall for 30s - 1n and check.
