Mic only works in party chat after factory reset.

-Not muted

-Nobody can hear me in party chat, and the pink circle that indicates you are talking never expands

-Game audio works on headset

-To hear party chat on the headset I must set chat audio to "tv only" or "tv and headset". Headset only does not work.

-I can still record and send voice messages just fine

-Mic works perfectly on pc (and yes I am aware of the switch on the receiver dongle)

-The message of "headset assigned" never pops up, and manually assigning the headset doesnt cause the headset to work either

-There is only one account on the xbox

If I factory reset my xbox everything works perfectly until a power cycle, then it goes back to this.

The headset is an arctis 7x

happens to me too. this is an issue many people I play with have experienced and it is completely ignored, I also cant watch netflix because my xbox just turns off everytime i try to watch it.

Are you using the Headset that came with the console or do you have a different one plugged into the Stereo Headset Adapter? Does happen with a particular game, or in general? Let's start with seeing if you have any NAT restrictions. Follow the steps in

I'm actually having the same problem since the update. Party chat, both in game (Neverwinter) and Xbox's Party Chat app, disconnect my mic on my headset. The headset and mic both work in party chat before someone joins but as soon as someone connects with
me they hear me for only a second and then it disconnects my mic. It's not muted. It works fine in Skype. I've tried partying with different users. I've tried updating the controller and headset adapter but no updates available. I've tried different controllers.
I've tried different headsets as well and the only headset that will work is the crappy one that came with the Xbox. I've hard reset the console. I've gone into every setting imaginable and still no go. Any help would be immensely appreciated.
