    Mic on Mute


    Has anyone seen an issue when your Xbox One has the microphone on mute? My sons is on mute and we can not unmute it. The headphones work when plugged into other devices just fine so, we do not think that they are the issue. When we plug the headphones
    in to the game controller, there is no sound and the mic does not work. I don't think this is a headphone issue. Anyone have an ideas on what to try next?

    Xbox one mic Doesn't work out of box

    im also having problems with my mic. I cant hear i cant talk. When im online it shows that i have a mic plugged in, the mute/volume up and down don't work no orange light or yellow when you hit mute Guessing i got a broke mic tried turn controller
    on and off mute light doesn't come on what do i do ,

    Is your mic muted? I know after market headsets have a mic mute, mine does anyways.

    Headset: Can hear friends, but mic won't detect my voice. Tried 2 headsets. Kinect mic works!

    Also, if I record a voice message, Xbox says no mic detected; check to see if your mic is muted.

    It's NOT muted!

    Beacuse you have to buy a whole different mic just for your voice so if you want to mute the mic you use for your controller you have to mute that and then go and mute your sec mic and then you need a chat link and its just complicated.

    muting all the mics would help as this would make you paranoid when ever you hear footsteps, i always mute all the mics by default
