Mic not working with Audio Adapter

hi I have an issue with the chat adapter.

I have 2 adapter one that came a Titanfall head set and a new one that came with a Turtle Beach Ear Force XO which I have just bought . I can hear sound from them and I have tested the headsets with a phone and the mics work, but on the xbox one the mics
doesnt work. I have tried it on 2 consoles and 3 controllers. I have a normal headset and mic and that mic works ( one that comes with the xbox one). what can I do to get the mic to work on the adapter ?

To me it seems to have happened since an update.

I have unplugged the console and I have done a hard reset and the controllers are fully up dated. Can MS have a look into this please as it seems to bean issue for others too.

xobx stereo headset adapter on PC

I have an older xbox one controller with no audio jack. I use it on a windows 10 PC. I purchased the stereo headset adapter however mic audio is not working. The PC sees both a headset and mic and I can hear audio through the headset. Mic audio seems as
if it's muted. I have tried multiple headsets, the controller was updated on my friends Xbox One but still get no audio. Chat rep said there's no mic audio at this time but it's coming soon? Is this true? Anyone else have an adapter and is it working normally?

Chat through a HI-FI headphone??

I doubt getting an answer for my hi-fi headphone - attachable mic - microsoft adapter problem as posted above. It probably would not work anyway. Maybe a compromise solution could be: PC headset with two 3.5mm jacks (audio + mic). The audio jack to the DAC,
mic jack to the adapter.

This might be the only way to get chat audio to the headset while maintaining superior game audio from the DAC. Check out the forthcoming Audio Technica ATH ADG1 PC headset.

Sorry you're having issues with your Stereo Headset adapter and mic. Can you test your headset with another adapter to see if the adapter itself is faulty? It sounds like you have 2 controllers. Does the issue happen on both controllers? Also is there another
headset that you can test with? As your headset tested okay with another device, it very well could be a bad adapter. If another adapter works, then let us know as you said it could be software related as well.

 

i have 2 adapters 1 MS and 1 turtle beach( this one is brand new) I can hear sound from both but the mic doesnt work on either ( Titanfall and Turtle Beach headset mics work as I have tested both with my phone).

I have tried the adapters on 3 pads and 2 consoles both on the preview.

The MS adapter worked before the June update. As other have this issue MS Really need to look into this.

 

surely someone in testing can get a preview xbox one and and audio adapter and see it for themselves

 

same thing with me for weeks now. Its hit or miss. Sometimes works and sometimes doesn't, never works with split screen with both mics. Hours on with tech support and blaming it on my ISP was not helpful. Also effects the Kinect chat too for some reason.
