    I had an afterglow head set that used the 3.5 jack and all the sudden my mic stopped working, I could still hear others but they couldn't hear me. I junked that headset and got a new Microsoft one and still have the same issue??? I can hear everyone just
    fine but no one can hear me. I haven't been able to find any settings to adjust or anything. Controller is up to date and tried the reset in the troubleshooting area but no luck. Any ideas?

    Mic not working

    Hi, I have an issue where I can hear everything in a game chat, but nothing I say can be heard by anyone else. I have one of the headsets that connects with a 3.5mm jack. My mic isn't muted. I did a full shutdown and reboot. I plugged the headset into another
    controller. I tried starting a party. None of these steps worked. I went and bought another headset, one of the other style (has the Amber light on the mute button), and it wouldn't work either.

    So, multiple headsets connected to multiple controllers, and I still can't be heard through my mic. Hopefully someone can help me here. Thanks.

    Hey everyone!

    Sorry to hear about the headset trouble. If you haven't had a chance already, please be sure to run through all the steps in our

    Xbox One Headset Troubleshooter    . If all the steps there aren't helping be sure that you and your friends NAT type is set to open, anything else may cause trouble.

    If your NAT is open and you've tested your headset on multiple controllers a replacement is going to be your best option I'm afraid.

    Same issue. Tried multiple headsets, multiple controllers, multiple batteries, multiple hard resets. I can hear party, but mic never activates. Was working fine, then walked out of range. Since then, I can't get it to work.

    I've also tried using multiple headsets and it has the same problem... If only one headset is plugged into a controller... the mic and chat works fine (~90% of the time). If both are plugged in, I can't rarely hear people and neither of the microphones will
    work. If I unplug one mic, it's 50/50 whether the other will start working...

    Hello Chris,

    Your headset is not working at all? You state no mic, that is not working either? If it is not working and you tried it in multiple controllers. Your headset could be bad or need replacing. Try using it on a phone or PC see if it works.

    Thanks for responding. I've tried the suggestions already with no success. The system is an xbox 1s. It is a wired headset connected to the controller. I've tried multiple headsets with multiple controllers. I have sound for both the games and other people in the chat but the mic is not working for any of the headsets, one of which is brand new. Thanks for any help with this.

    The Tritton Warhead is the only fully wireless 360 headset, and this:

    Anything wireless won't work. The mic on the Tritton Warhead is wireless. The mic won't work.
