Mic not working in new update?

    My mic was working before the update, now I can't speak to other player, but I can still hear them. I bought a new mic and it is doing the same thing. I also tried using other controllers they did the same thing. please help me.

    Mic problems on my brand new Xbox One

    Mic not working

    Two days ago my Xbox day one issued microphone had static, then it was gone. Nobody could hear me, I thought it was my headset as when I applied a slight amount of pressure to the connection on the controller, I was able to see my mic working, briefly and
    with static. So I decided to change and bought an adapter to use with my Turtle Beach headset. Same issue. No mic. I took back the adapter, now thinking it was my controller and bought a new one (Day one controller) plugged in the headset again... still no
    mic. Head phone works fine. I have searched and searched for answers, changed settings, updated controller etc and been here and there, but nothing. Still no mic. Any advice much appreciated.

    Same issue with mic everything else works fine just the mic doesn't work. Be wary of the play and charge USB cable , I've killed 2 pads in 2 nights trying to do controller update. Even with a brand new pad the mic fails to.work *** mics

    This recently happened to me, too. There was a new update (the Cortona update), and then my mic just stopped working. They won't replace it, even though it had everything to do with the update.

    NeoGTI, your mic not working isn't the headset, I'd bet on it. A ton of us are having the exact same problem sonce microsoft's september update.

    I've tried 3 different mics (one of them literally brand new in the box) on multiple different controllers, and the actual microphone doesn't work on any of them after that update.

    The issue is on microsoft's end, not ours.
