    Mic not responding even though it works fine


    My mic stopped working out of the blue, and now i cant hear what my peeps in my party chat are saying. And as ive said in the subject bar, my mic isnt working even though it should, and i cant access the volume stuff because theyre all greyed out, and
    the party chat menu is saying device settings in a yellow color, but once i go there it doesnt tell me where to go from there. It simply directs me to there but once i actually get there nothing happens.

    my mic doesn't work in game chat i try to talk to other players with mics and they can't hear me even though it shows my mic emitting noise next to my name. It works fine when im in parties though.

    i have this exact same issue with my day on controller like the game in headset volume stuff works but mic isn't responding at all for people to hear me talk in game chat or party chat yet if i go to skype the mic works just fine.

    Yeah none of that works:/ wireless mic isn't connected to the controller...the cheap chat mic works fine so I'm not sure how the controller would effect the wireless headset...that's that only thing xbox ambassador said to do...I'm just curious if that cortana
    voice commands through headsets that has messed with certain brands of headsets...cause even though it it's disabled it's still a ability that has been added to the mic function

    UPDATE: Having issues with this setup as I described above. It does not seem as reliable as I hoped. Mic is not working now while I was playing Titanfall. Getting sound just fine through the headset and can even hear myself speaking(mic monitoring) but other
    players are not hearing me. Was hoping this would work. MS really needs to fix this so it works though that expensive adapter. Frustrating.....

    Your mic is connected to a headset right? That seems really odd though that this is not working even on a replacement device. You still have your old Xbox one, right? Is the mic still working there even this time?
