    Mic not picking up audio


    Hello I recently purchased an xbox one s. I had the original xbox one before hand, but when I purchased this one my mic worked completely fine but about 2 weeks ago I noticed my mic was not picking up sound. However I could hear everything from other party
    chatters to game sound. I just bought a new mic today in hopes to fix the problem however I still have the same issue. I then went on the forum to try to find a solution and I have tried everything I found within it. Troubleshooting, updating controller, NAT
    type, etc. Nothing is seeming to work. I even watched multiple videos on how to fix it and none of them have worked either. I have been working at it for about two hours now and I am quite frustrated. I have never had a problem with any xbox console before
    my original one took a crap. So I bought a new one not only because the old one didnt work but because I have a 4k tv now. Please reply ASAP.

    Sony Pulse Elite Headphones without the audio adapter and no game audio?

    I have a pair of pulse elites and a new controller and no audio adapter. I used to have the adapter and an older controller, I would get game audio. Now just the mic works and the audio only comes through the television. I can hear the audio that the mic
    is picking up. Do I need to have the adapter to get in game audio or am I missing something?

    Headsets not picking up mic

    Hello Brunette,

    Go to Settings>All Settings>Kinect & Devices>Devices & Accessories and make sure that your controller is assigned to your profile.

    Now do a power cycle (support.xbox.com/.../power-cycle-console) and then try again to talk in parties.

    Let us know how you get on. Hopefully this resolves it.

    Sorry to hear about the issues with your headset!

    To be sure, are you seeing the same issues with another headset and on other controllers?

    If you test another console or another headset on your network do you see the exact same issue?

    Also, is your console wired or wirelessly connected to your network?

    Post back if you are still having issues and let us know how those tests go!

    Check out the Lucidsound sets...the mics don’t pick up much extra audio. Super comfy to boot. I have an LS35X

    in the Party Audio settings you should see a setting for Mic Sensitivity.
    try turning that down so that the mic doesn't pick up the sound from the headset/tv.

    1st off, are.you in the preview program, and the 2nd, which is probably obviously answered, but have to ask for clarity, do you have any other headsets connected, or Kinect?
