    Mic muted!


    for no reason my sons mic is now muted. I funny logo has appeared next to the battery logo. I’ve tried almost everything to fix it, including sending my Xbox back to Germany to be fixed. No one can figure it out or even tell me what it is. So Xbox sent me
    a brand new xbox, and when I switched it on and signed in it was still there! PLEASE someone must know what it is, it’s driving me nuts and my kids are gutted they can’t talk to their friends online. (Pic attached)

    Headset: Can hear friends, but mic won't detect my voice. Tried 2 headsets. Kinect mic works!

    Also, if I record a voice message, Xbox says no mic detected; check to see if your mic is muted.

    It's NOT muted!

    Mic muted

    Hi, the muted muc icon appears in the top right of the screen and there's no audio in or out of the headphones. I have tried all settings, bought a new headset and various controllers but nothing seems to work. Occasionally when turning the console off /
    on, the symbol changes to un-muted but switches back to muted in a matter of seconds. Please can someone help? I have spent a fortune on new headsets and controllers and nothing seems to work?

    Hey EquineTen38! Sorry to hear this issue is persisting. What model headset/s are you using? does this issue occur with multiple controllers (wired and wireless)? Post back and let us know!

    Is your mic muted? I know after market headsets have a mic mute, mine does anyways.

    Beacuse you have to buy a whole different mic just for your voice so if you want to mute the mic you use for your controller you have to mute that and then go and mute your sec mic and then you need a chat link and its just complicated.

    muting all the mics would help as this would make you paranoid when ever you hear footsteps, i always mute all the mics by default
