Mic Monitor for new XB1 Headsets

Has anyone heard any news about this. Saw that some erlier in this thread had spoken to xbox/Microsoft and according to them it was to be implemented soon

I can hear myself with the mic monitor and I can hear parties talk but they can not hear ME when I use my ELITE controller and a regular XB1 Mic (either launch mic or newer chat pad mic)

Now the launch XB1 Mic will work with my launch XB1 pad PERFECTLY.

THAT is why I think it was a software update on the EILTE pad. Anyway to roll it back or reinstall it? Frustrating!!!

Do you game on a tv or gaming monitor?

What Mic are you using ?

I purchased the legacy mic for $100 but noticed my monitor still plays audio while im using the headset .. So it plays audio from both the monitor and headset. Weird not sure if it is an easy fix

 

I just got off of a chat with support. They said the engineers have it on their list, however it is NOT anticipated to be included in the next patch.

They did encourage anybody who is interested in the patch to contact them. The more people contact support about the issue, the bigger priority it becomes.

 

This is a feature we really need..

Any news on mic monitoring?

 

Nothing good. talked to customer support and was told to wait for the may update. Looked up what was going to be in the may update and looks to be a few features that aren't really all that important.

She did act like she was going to pass on that this was a issue but somehow seemed like she had never heard of the problem, seems strange when there are several forums discussing the need for this feature.

 

I actually returned my XO7's after only using them for a few hours because of the lack of a mic monitor. Not only did I feel like I was yelling at everyone but it gave me a killer headache as well. Really upsetting considering the price and that this is
a new gen console. At this point we should be able to turn mic monitoring on and off based on our own personal preferences.

Would like to see a official statement of Microsoft concerning this problem. I like my xo 7 but the lack of mic monitoring sucks.

 

Will Microsoft be making an adaptor that will support mic monitoring? That way I won't have to return my xo7s? Or is it a problem with the xo sevens? Cause I would like to know!!

 

Just bought a pair of Turtle beach XO4. Thought they were faulty because I couldn't hear my own voice through the headset. You can hear other people and game sound and other people can hear you. But have been used to mic montoring through a set of triton
detonator headset for the older xbox 360, I find it disconcerting when my own voice sounds so muffled. Think I'm going to send them back to amazon and wait for Microsoft / Turtlebeach , whoever to address this issue.

 

I've contacted Microsoft Support on this. I'm hoping they update us all. Especially since TB just announced a new headset coming soon that's completely wireless AND has mic monitoring.
