mic making a buzzing sound

okay,

im gonna save you the trouble and let you know its NOT a hardware issue, all ready checked my mic on other games and programs and it works flawlessly, its just the xbox app, it makes a buzzing sound when someone joins the party and
my ring around my profile pic is lit up as if i'm talking, i have jumped through hoops and played limbo under flaming rods and cannot find the issue so that just leaves the app, i've tried the BETA app and it does the same thing so anyone got any ideas?

This isnt something i need alert help on, just something i really want to ask, that some of you may be experiancing.

Ok, everytime i charge my controller and also insert my mic to talk, me, and sometimes maybe other gamers can always hear like a buzzing sound coming from my mic, now, my mic doesnt actually show its making a noise on screen, because the mic symbol doesnt
show it, however it is making a buzzing sound. My question is, is there a make to fix this, or are Microsoft/Xbox working on this problem directly?

Hello. I'm not the creator of this post but I've got the exact same problem. My drivers and Xbox app are all up to date. I've tried changing my microphone setting in the app and it doesn't do anything. I've also uninstalled and reinstalled the app but that
didn't help either. I'm not sure if this information helps or not but this sound exists even when I don't a microphone plugged in at all.

I've ran the troubleshooter and reinstalled my audio drivers in compatibility mode but neither worked.

 

okay so my drivers are up to date, windows cannot detect a problem in troubleshoot and the app is up to date so now what? it was working fine the night before my original post and then just started making the sound.

 

also, i noticed in the store it says that my app was updated the same day that it started doing this so it could be your update, is there anyway to manually go back to a previous version to test this theory?

 

Thank you for following up. Here are steps on how to manually uninstall and reinstall the Windows Store and the Xbox app from your computer:



1. Click Start, and then type Windows PowerShell on the search box.

2. Right-click, and then select Run as administrator.

3. Type the following command to uninstall Windows Store:

Get-AppxPackage *windowsstore* | Remove-AppxPackage



4. Type the following command to uninstall the Xbox app:Get-AppxPackage *xboxapp* | RemoveAppxPackage.

5. Hit Enter.

6. Restart your computer.

7. After restarting your computer, go to the Windows PowerShell as administrator again and then type the following command to install the apps back to your computer: Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers| Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}

8. Hit Enter.



Launch Windows Store and download Xbox App.
