Mic issues in party chat , While mic is muted people hear static off me.

So this is a bit of a different problem that just started happening . When I am in a party chat , Mic muted , even double muted by the headset and by the external cord , people still have echoing coming from me . I have to fully disconnect
my headset and adapter . They tell me its a echo / static noise . I watched my icon in party chat and people are right , they talk my chat icon lights up .. Any idea on what to do or how to fix , before I go out and get a new controller ? I replaced headset
thinking it was my old set , and it was the same problem instantly on new headset .. I did a hard reset on xbox 1 , lasted about 2 hours then it happened again . This issue is frustrating .. NAT is open , tried new batteries as well , also tried updating
controller.

Can't unmute anyone

My mic icon flickers when I'm in party chat, but as soon as i invite or join , my mic is muted. Nor can i hear anyone. When i click on peoples name, it says they are muted but im unable to unmute. Please help

 

Wireless Ag9 Afterglow Headset Others Can’t Hear Me

My brand new wireless AG9 Afterglow headset can hear people and gameplay perfectly fine. But when I try speaking through the mic, others can’t hear me. This is happening in game chat and party chat, and I have muted and unmuted the mic multiple
times. I have also tried restarting my Xbox multiple times. Can anybody help me?

Thanks for the information on this so far. Do you have any friends with a controller you can test on your headset? It's odd that muting still sends out static, but I'm wondering the there's interference with your controller that's causing it.
