Mic issues.......again

I'm sure this has been addressed here. I've read through all the tech support walkthroughs and so-called fixes and this problem persists. "We can't find a microphone for these people". This has been happening off and on for ages. No real fix to the problem
other than "Send in your controller and we'll fix it!". It's NOT an issue with the controller. It's not an issue with the headset (whih is all of 2 hours old). It's an issue that seems like it should have been fixed with any one of the dozens of updates to
both the console and the controller. I've tried different controllers and different headphones and every combination therein. If anyone has actual helpful advice, please, please, please share. I would really like for any Microsoft employees reading this to
NOT respond to this thread.

Weird issue with mic

Sounds like NAT or network issues. Sometimes when two people have a certain network config you can play and chat with other people just fine, but not someone else with your same issue.

My wife and I used to have a similar issue with chat in OG Destiny. Check your NAT and make sure it is open not moderate or strict.

 

Weird issue with mic

I have a weird issue going on for a while now. There is this certain person I play online with that can’t hear me when I’m talking, but he can hear everyone else he plays with. I know my mic works because it works if I play with anyone else. I was thinking maybe he has me muted or something and doesn’t know it, so I switched to a different account, but he still can’t hear me any ideas?

 

Try performing a hard reset EXACT like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the
console.

It could be a problem with the controller too. Try using a different one if the hard reset doesn't work

 

I'll try it (again). As I said, I've tried all the "fixes" recommended by the troubleshooting pages.

 

Didn't work, of course. I can't believe this is an issue.

 

I was having some static noise at random yesterday and some of mu friwmds too jad some issues about their comms maube a hot fix resolves this problem
