    Mic issue with Xbox One S


    My nephew is having issues with his xbox mic allowing him to chat. We've done everything I can think of to fix the issue with no luck. He was able to chat just fine early this year and then his mic broke and when he got a new one he is unable to chat. He
    can hear just fine. Below is what we've done.

    1. Different controller both plugged in and wireless.

    2. resynced controllers.

    3. changed to energy saving mode

    4. reset xbox back to factory settings.

    5. updated firmware on controllers

    6. ensured his NAT type is open.

    7. tried his mic on another xbox and it works fine.

    8. tried a known working mic from other said xbox.

    9. Tried other profiles on the xbox.

    Any suggestions would be great. It is frustrating not being able to chat with him while we play.

    No. The Xbox One/Xbox Series X|S consoles do not support those type of mics.

    Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely.
    Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes.
    Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.

    If that doesn't resolve the issue. You might consider trying the adapter on the controller.
