Mic Issue - Mic wont pick up voice.

Hello all.

This is the first time im using a support forum since having an Xbox console and this is the first problme I've had. Hopefully you guys can help.

About 2 days ago, my mic decided not to work, its the standard mic you get with your console. Ive tried numerous youtube videos, the troubleshooting guides on the forum here and other forums as well and have had zero success.

Whilst I'm in a party, mic connected, the circle to display if you're chatting is in bold, or open, as in its picking up noise. I game in a room by myself with no other sounds. I can be on the home screen, quite and the circle still appears to be picking
up sound. My friends in the party say they can hear static or white noise, like low frequency on a low volume (If I can describe best). I can confirm this myself as I've tried the Skype test call via the app. My voice isnt picked up yet it says that it is.
My mic has no visible problems and doesn't appear to be broken. Im not sure what the cause of this is? My controllers, as well, arent broken. I look after the gaming stuff )

Im not sure if ive explained clearly enough. I hope this problem can be fixed.

XBOX ONE MIC NOT RESPONDING

So i have had my mic now for a while and a couple of weeks ago it stopped responding to my voice...i have tried everything but its not working...its says the mic is plugged in but it wont pick up my voice

 

Search & Rescue-you can't use Kinect to play this game mode?

im having the same issue and thought it was odd I couldn't use my Kinect as a mic in game as the mic I got with the console wont pick up voice I can hear through it but no one can hear me ive emailed activision and infinity ward to see if there will be a
patch so people can use there Kinect in game and to stop getting kicked out if u do plug in or unplug ur mic but still waiting on a reply

 

It's a cheap mic...mine stopped working last week. everything works but it will NOT pick up my voice. I try talking to people but they cant hear me but I can hear them through my headset. I've done the resets, I've checked the settings and I've had it. I've
never improperly pulled the headset from the controller or was rough with it. and I'm ***. I demand a fix or free replacement. I didn't pork over $400 just to get a $2 mic that breaks after 3 months of use. Microsoft. FIX THIS!!!
