Mic is always muted on my xbox one s

Mic is always muted on my xbox one s , there isnt any way to unmuted /on .. the audio option is not longer available, do you have any suggestions? i cant play any multiplayer game with this issue

Xbox one expert needed

on my Xbox one the head set is muted. I can see up in the right hand corner that there is a muted mic How do I turn the head set back on

Any help would be appreciated

I have a skull candy headset for Xbox one, the headset works for the original controllers but not for a controller I bought later on. I believe it is a new Xbox one s controller. the mic also doesn't work on my girlfriends controllers which are also xbox
one s. but again I plug it back into my older xbox one controllers and it's fine. nothing is muted all the controllers are updated. and restarting the Xbox doesn't help

please try the manual power cycle steps like mentioned on the following link, be sure to wait at least 60 seconds before powering on again:

Also be sure to disconnect the head set before powering the console off and reconnected when the console was powered on again.

Also be sure to check if there are any updates available for the controller

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. We need a few more details to ensure we provide the correct solution. Which make and model of headset are you using? Which troubleshooting steps have been attempted thus far? Also, please let us know what
the NAT Type of the console is. We will provide the steps on how to check the NAT Type. Be sure to let us know the results!

1. Open the guide by pressing the Xbox button in the center of your controller.
   
2. Scroll right in the guide to the System area
3. Select Settings.
4. Select Network.
5. Select Network Settings.
6. The NAT Type appears in the center of the screen. The options are Open, Moderate, Strict and Not Available.

 

The NAt is open .. let me attach the evidence for this.

I did a couple of times, however, the muted mic still continue, even without the headphones connected to the controller.

Sounds like the controller could be out of date so it wouldn't recognize the headset. Try our

Controller Update page and keep us posted on how it goes!

 

i did also, the controller is at the last update. nothing change it. (and still continue the problem). volume is not

available , but the vibration is working fine.

Thanks for keeping us in the loop!

Since the update has been discarded, the problem might be on the actual OS of the console so we would suggest a

Soft Factory Reset (while keeping games and apps, also connect the controller and headset to the console)
IF AND ONLY IF THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA IS MET:

• There is a stable network connection.
• The information for all profiles is known (email and passwords)

Once the setup is complete it will ask if we want to keep settings or manual setup lets do manual setup. Give it a shot and let us know of any changes!

Finally i did the soft reset .. and still have the issue

The xbox reboot showed the welcome display ... and the mic muted icon still was there ... not sure what other action i can do ..

(the muted mic icon is on , even without a controller still connect to the xbox)

this is like triying to kill deadpool ... cant see any solution for this .. and we cant play any multiplayer game with mic ..

Sorry for the issue with the headset. As the headset is a third party headset the options to us are limited you done a lot of troubleshooting already. Any products can have issues working after updates. We recommend trying different controller, different
headset on the current controller, also get a adapter and see if that helps. If none of these work you can contact the manufacturer of the headset see if they have any further help to give for their accessories.

hello Brad

Mi question here is , why even without a controller (power on the xbox only) , the muted icon is showed on the xbox? i already verify the headphones on my lap and works fine with skype.

Im thinkig this is some problen with the xbox (software or hw) , thats why i insist on continue the troublehooting with this forum
