Discus and support Mic icon with line through it. Did this ever get resolved? in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; My son's xbox is showing the mic icon with a line through it.     Mic icon with line through it. Did this ever get resolved?


    My son's xbox is showing the mic icon with a line through it. I do see that this is a common problem, but can't seem to find the fix that actually works. We have tried all the recommended troubleshooting scenarios, leaving it still not working. Anyone?

    Having issues with my sons headset not working. On the home screen there is a microphone with line through it, how do i change this? I tried going into settings but i could not figure out where to look for the microphone setting

    Be careful spending money on new hardware only for the same issue to reappear in a matter of days. This has happened to me. This is a known issue / bug with some consoles that microsoft needs to fix. This is their issue.

    I dont have one anymore, I dont understand how/why its now appeared as none of his friends seem to be suffering with the same problem.

    Thanks for the reply, i have tried the above without any sucess.

    i have tried creating another account but this doesnt work either.

    The icon is there if the mic is plugged in or not, we have tried new contollers, new headsets etc and still nothing.
