    The mic icon on the xbox one s is shown on the screen constantly with a slash through it. No headsets work at all, I have tried several different brands. The headset issue started a few weeks ago and now no headsets work at all, we cannot hear anyone and
    nobody can hear us. I have tried everything, un muting on party chat, turning up the volume, restarting the x box and nothing works. The console is only 6 months old and initially the headset worked bit now it doesn't. I am at a loss as to what to do!

    Apparently there has been a new software update which has made all non xbox one headsets non compatible. I have been told that I need to buy an adapter and this should solve the issue!

    We have the exact same issue got the xbox at christmas and its only kidt dtarted to happen these past few days. Its my sons xbox and its really wonding me up we have tried other controllers and headsets up its still not working.
    It's so frustrating! It's also my son's xbox. I've Googled it and I've seen it could be some kind of bug on the xbox which is apparently a common problem which Microsoft are aware of. I am just on hold to support now so I will let you know if I have any
    joy! I'm not holding out much hope though!
