    Mic Has Constant Sound


    I just recently got a new controller for my Xbox since my last one had stick drift problems. I just plugged in my headset and was gonna test to make sure the mic was working properly, and it showed that I have a constant sound going through my mic. My mic
    is muted both on the headset and through the audio menu, and when I checked mic monitoring I couldn't hear any noise. The party chat and the game chat still continue to show that I'm making a constant noise somehow. Does anybody know how to fix this?

    I also had a similar problem with my last controller, but it was easily fixed just by muting the headset in the audio menu itself. But that isn't working for this one.

    I did unplug it and plug it back in but it didn't seem to do anything. Should I leave it unplugged for a certain amount of time or something so the controller can like restart itself or something?

    Yeah my main problem is that my controller is specifically wired so it's a consistent problem.

    Try turning off the controller or if its wired unplugging it. That usually works for me

    I have that when my mic is in and my controller is charging but never wirelessly.

    My mic usually has the same problem, but my Xbox Controller's mic port is causing the problem. Either the controller mic port could be their issue, the mic plug-in cord, or the mic in general. Feedback has also had issues with constant screeches.
