    Mic doesnt work


    hello, i bought a new controller today for my xbox one, a white wireless one.

    I did mute my mic after like 10 minutes and after i did unmute the headset the mic doesnt work anymore..?

    I've tried to do hardreset the console and even did an "reset" of the console, but did'nt work anyhow..

    Please help.

    go check your settings.. sometimes your parental controls might have made it so you cant talk.. if that doesnt work, turn off your xbox and start it with your mic already plugged in, that always works for me... if it doesnt work, it might be time for a new

    about the issue with the Xbox app. Corrupted data may cause the app to not to work properly.



    Here are two steps on how to isolate system issues:

    Method 1:perform a clean boot,
    this helps eliminate software conflicts that occur when you install a program or an update or when you run a program in Windows 10. Here is the

    Have you tried to uninstall/re-install the Xbox App?



    Here are steps below on how to uninstall and reinstall Xbox app:

    1. Click Start, and then type Windows PowerShell on the search box.

    2. Right-click, and then select Run as administrator.

    3. Type the following command to uninstall Xbox app: Get-AppxPackage
    *xboxapp*|
    Remove-AppxPackage

    4. Hit Enter.



    Launch Windows Store and download Xbox App.

    Mic works on plays.tv app. I can hear myself and the game. There is a problem with xbox app, I guess.

    Hello there fellow gamer,

    We understand that you're experiencing an issue with using your headset on your Windows 10 PC, but would like to clarify that the issue occurs within recording on your PC?

    What are you attempting to do with the headset that is causing error, and if applicable the error being received?

    If the headset is not being detected, what does the setup for the headset look like? Where are you plugging the device in, are there more steps to setup?

    If through a USB connection, attempt all USB ports on the PC, as well as ensure that other USB connected devices work when attached to the PC.
