Mic Doesn't work on skype

Well following the most recent update for skype, when i log on to speak to my friends while we play games, (some are on PC, some on xbox one ect so skype is the best option) i used to call them, then the dial tone and calling sound would play through the
tv, then when they'd answer i'd hear them on the headset plugged into the controller and i'd be able to speak normally, but now when i call them the dial tone and the calling sound comes through the headset, and then when they answer the headset is unusable
and i can only hear them through the tv and use the kinect to speak. This is a big deal for me because if i need to use the internet web browser on my PC, i have to switch from HDMI to PC on the tv, then i can no longer hear whoever i am on skype with because
it comes through the tv it would only play when im on the HDMI channel. any answers?

Mic not working

I tried it all. My mic doesn't work in Skype. I have two turtle beach headsets and they both don't work anymore. It's something to do xbox's end, not the headsets

 

Skype Bug: Kinect mic nonfunctional for Skype only.

Since the update to Skype on my Preview-enrolled Xbox One, the Kinect microphone does not work with the app. I have the permissions set correctly—Skype is allowed to access my mic in the Settings page—and the Kinect mic works in all other situation, including
game chat and voice commands.

But now when making Skype calls only the video works. No one receives my audio, and occasionally I get an error message saying that my mic isn't working. But it is, just not for Skype, despite all the right settings as I said.

 

This sounds like a bug that we know about and hope to have fixed in an upcoming update

 

Any News on this bug? It's really annoying ://
