Mic does not pick up my voice in party chat.

Ever since a few days ago my voice is not being picked up in Xbox One Party Chat. I've even tried buying a new microphone and Controller but neither helped with the issue.

So far I have tried restarting my Router, and Shutting down my Xbox completely along with trying new equipment, but the Mic is still not being picked up in party chat (I can still hear my friends perfectly through the mic, but they can't hear me).

I've also checked my security and privacy settings and they are on adult status.

Any help with this issue would be dearly appreciated.

In the Twitch settings while streaming you can choose to mute your mic so that your voice won't be heard on your stream. Your friends will still be able to chat with you.

Regarding your second question, even with the microphone on, the twitch stream does not pick up the voices of other people in your party. I actually found this forum trying to find a way to make twitch pick up the voices of my friends as well as my own.

 

To solve this issue I suggest you to perform a hard reboot:

1) Turn off the Xbox One

2) Unplug power cord from Xbox One for several seconds

3) Plug it back in

4) Restart Xbox One

Its also advisable to disable the "instant on" setting, as it may temporary contribute to the problem.
