    Mic crackling


    My boys have an xbox one S. they have just received brand new controllers (third party make) and brand new Turtle beach headsets for christmas. Everything was fine until today where their friends cannot hear them speak due to crackling. They have tried
    each controller and each headset, swapped them round etc but no difference. Any hints/tips/advice? Im clueless with technology

    Take it this is still an ongoing issue - since the update my basic headset mic is not working or working only sporadically with crackling and distortion. Are there any fixes?

    I've had the same problem.

    My headset broke about a month ago. I can still hear people, but unless my mic is muted, it makes a constant crackling sound that pisses everyone off.

    Now, it usually doesn't even make the crackling sound and doesn't have any capability for people to hear me.

    How can I get another one?

    Mic just stopped working

    Mine was doing the same, but people on the other end said that my mic was crackling, so I've sent mine back to xbox to get replaced, you should do the same as you'll be within warranty.

    Mic stops picking up my voice after a minute

    My mic just stopped picking up my voice completely, ad sometimes I can hear a crackling sound from my mic. My mute and volume buttons work fine. i use my phone charger instead of batteries, I recently used batteries to see if it would work but nope.

    MS stereo headset? If it is join the legions of people complaining. Same story for everyone, everything is honky doorie and after an update all of a sudden out of nowhere with no rhyme or reason they malfunction. Crackling, noisy, low mic. Tried my MS stereo
    on iPhone and it worked perfectly. Plugged in iPhone earplugs in sounds fine but still low mic. Green lights activates on chat as I speak but the mic doesn't work on anything
