    Mic + Controller Faulty


    Bought a xbox one a few months ago. Mic worked fine until everyone started telling me it made static noises and wouldnt register my voice. So I bought a new one a couple weeks ago. Worked fine up until today then the same issue. So I borrowed a friends mic
    and got the same issue. Then I borrowed his controller and used my mic still same issue. Then I let him use my mic in his controller and it didnt work + his mic and my controller still nothing.. Are you serious? Garbage equipment. So I registered my xbox to
    get replacements under the warranty but, guess what they dont send to p.o boxes. Now Ill be stuck buying a new controller and mic tomorrow. Thanks a lot.

    could be a faulty controller jack, try to plug into a phone or pc to check if the issue is the headset or controller

    so when ever i plug the mic into the xbox one wireless controller the controller just magically turns off and wont turn back on?

    if this a faulty controller or something?

    It could be a problem with the controller? Try this mic with another controller and see if that fixes the issue. Also, if you are using an adapter try using the mic without the adapter as adapters can become faulty

    If your pressing up and you're not hearing a beep sound, then it sounds like it could be that the headset is faulty, but seen as you've mentioned that you've tried multiple headsets, then I can only assume its the controllers mic port that is faulty. try
    a friends controller to confirm its the controller.

    Hi,

    I highly suspect your controller is faulty. Can you borrow a second controller from a friend to see if your controller is actually faulty, this would be your best bet.

    Also check there is nothing jammed is the actual mic plug on the controller i.e no pins bent (give it a blow/clean out).

    Do you perhaps have another headset and mic you could try? It could be that your controller 3.5mm port has become faulty.

    By your reasoning. My iphone is a pc then. If MS state on their own website the Surface is a tablet. It's a tablet.

    That was the first thing I tried. The controller and mic are not creating a true connection.

    MS Have messed up big style here.

    Expect a free wireless mic soon.

    They won't recall the controllers. So they will let you trade your mics in.

    I have tried 8 controllers and 12 mics. Out of them all

    I got about 4 to work. Faulty much?
